Your drawing is insufficient for anything to be said: except that the upper door is not in contact with the lower gong. Except that the term "recessed beam" already gives me a clue on the pb.
If you want help, you must post your study using the PACK and GO function and also by attaching the study without forgetting to put all the parts of your ASM.
Only the sum of this information will allow us to see how you have put your efforts, load, etc...

I just prepared the assembly in Pack and Go and I made a simul before sending it.
He did the math to the end with the mortise tenons. I think it's because I had 2 setups in the assembly.
