Sldresu.dll

Hello

I have had this error message for a few days now, more precisely since there was a test of charging the sp5 of 2014... But since December 1st I am no longer under maintenance so I am not allowed, No arms no chocolate.

I tried a repair with the sp4 but he tells me that it is incomplete (and I didn't make a dvd)

After searching in the folder concerned I have a sldresu1.dll

Any leads?

Hi @Tomalan

For the moment I just made a copy of the sjdresu1.dll and renamed it to sjdresu.dll. it seems to have improved for SW but not for exploring.....

@thierry

Does it mean that Solidworks installs a virus when it can't perform the update? but if this dll is deleted it won't prevent SW from working, because for the moment what I see above all is errors in the registration of IGS and it's true my windows explorer which often crashes

Looks like a corrupted registry. Try fixing your registry using following method and check.

Close SolidWorks and got to Start > Run > type regedit > go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > SolidWorks > SolidWorks 2014

Rename SolidWorks 2014 to SolidWorks 2014-OLD (this is just to keep the backup of existing actually registry file), close the registry and restart SolidWorks. This will essentially reset SolidWorks to its as installed settings, so you will have to set all the options again. If this works, return to the registry and delete the SolidWorks 2014-OLD key.
