Solidworks - Profile Library. SLDLFP

Hi all

I am looking for an existing mechanically welded profile library in solidworks format (Lib Feat Part files). SLDLFP").

I currently have one but in dwg format. I learned in the tutorials offered by Lynkoa how to create them from its files. So no worries about that.

Would anyone have made one under SW (IPN, UPN, UPAF beams... Square tube, round straight...) ?

Would it be possible to share it with the community?

Thank you very much in advance:D

See this link among others

Click on the tutorial bar on page 2

you will find a series of profile tutorials made by a member of Lynkoa @ flegendre

Glad it suits you :-))

I have grouped a whole panel of tubes, beams, etc. in NF

after if necessary I also have aluminum profiles from Norcan (hours spent reconstituting DWGs)

otherwise in biblio 3D you can download if you have a privileged account

For those who download the welded construction profiles from a tutorial, a little comment and a note would be welcome. Thank you.

Thank you so much guys!

@SEPM. Gérald : Your list is impressive, you must have spent a lot of time compiling all this! Courage that I didn't get ^^ In any case, a big thank you! I'll complete my list with yours as well.

@flegendre: Your tutorial is very good => rated and commented!

 @charly

The time spent compiling is time saved to draw.

And as I do Frenchy, American, aluminum for chassis I was tired of spending 2 days associating pieces of tube with a family of parts. So imagine when you make small chassis, big chassis, aluminum chassis.... etc

Now a chassis is a 3D sketch and 15 min (coffee included) to have the right size and the right positions.

And you get your speeds out in the same way.

On the other hand, big problems with solidworks if you make several chassis in an assembly you don't know how to bring out the total flow (cf a colleague who makes balconies)

@Gerald

Quite a job, as you say you have to know how to lose time at the beginning to gain "infinitely more" later.
