Solidworks Explorer open part directly

Hello

I want to open a room directly in SW Explorer without having to go back to the path each time, "workstation" and then ... etc, very laborious.

Right-clicking on the "open with SW Explorer" file does not open the file but only the executable...

A previous discussion from 2015 "http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/solidworks/solidworks-explorer-repertoire-d-ouverture", but it doesn't seem to have had any real improvement.

Does anyone have a lead, knowing that I don't have PDM and that I'm in SW-2017?

Thank you.

Hello

" Right-clicking on the "open with SW Explorer" file does not open the file but only the executable... ", effectively the "open with" function only launches the "Solidworksexplorer.exe" executable when it should be able to start with an argument, in this case the full name of the selected file. I don't know if solidworksexplorer accepts any arguments and if so which ones. The ball is therefore in Dassault Systèmes' court.

Kind regards

Thank you d.roger for the answer. This is very helpful.

The subject resurfaces curiously but as herve.marchal is in the area

I tell him that I'm doing something stupid to open the room directly.

I start directly from the windows file manager. Because when I'm on a project, I create a specific folder and subfolder. So while I'm on the project I reopen the folder or s/s folder by shortcuts created on the Windows desktop. Once in the file management you just have to double click on the part and the SW launcher will load the part directly.

I do this  all day long when the parts are not in the recent history.

Not having PDM if there is a simpler method than the one I use do not hesitate to let me enjoy it :-)
