Today, I'm starting like a novice in Solidworks Floxpress... I don't intend to do complex calculations or anything else, I just want to discover this module to check if it can be of any use to me. (I work in the HVAC field), so I tried to create a duct and test the module!
The problem is that I don't really understand why I can't set several output parameters? If it is not possible to define several outputs or inputs, I don't understand what this module is for?? If it's just to calculate an air/water velocity based on a flow rate and a cross-section, just take your calculator :-/
If it's to understand that air passes faster inside an elbow when it is sucked in, it's common sense...
Attached, a screenshot of a pipe on which I would like to define two outputs (angled outputs)!
I did indeed look for some tutorials on the net but I couldn't find anything good...
@Lucas.Prieur The tutorial you gave me the link to is about the Flow simulation module, I had looked into the Floxpress module, I couldn't find anything on how to define two outputs, I found it surprising!
Unfortunately, I don't have the Flowsimulation module but it's true that what is explained in the link to the tutorial would be much more useful to me than the simple rainbow that FloXpress gives me!!
I feel like I'm dwelling on a rather useless module (at least in my SW version)...
After a lot of research, in fact, it is not possible to define several outputs on Floxpress, it is basically, a module that gives an overview of the types of automatic animations that Solidworks creates... Only the Premium version offers the possibility to make full use of these functions.
Floxpress really seems like a gimmick with no use other than to make "Class" by presenting a colorful animation ;)
@Lucas, in any case, thank you for the tutorials!
@gt22, I don't think you've ever given me any links on the subject because it's really the first time I've used this module ;-). And for everything that is calculation of cross-sections in fct of flows, PdC, speed... Nothing beats a good old Xcel for my taste!!
I think I'll ask for a try of the Flow Simulation module to see what can be done with it!!
