Solidworks | Drawing weld seams in section view

Hello

I have Solidworks 2017.

I created an assembly where a few parts are welded together via the insert function => assembly function => weld seam.

When I draw and import the weld seams and symbols via model object, they display well in my front and top views but not in my section views (which are on another drawing sheet.)

Some screenshots:

https://lut.im/QsNMSICLBn/SeSBIZRh8SUEBwOK.PNG => zoom on my A-A cut with front view and top view. I selected the weld seams to highlight them.

https://lut.im/AP0ehJaPun/T6jjGHkHb2Rhliv7.PNG => zomm on my A cut with its C detail where I should see the weld bead around the edge of my socket which is cut in the top image by the A-A cut

Anyone have any ideas on this subject?

Hello

I think maybe you imported your solder before you did the details. Remove your cords and redo or redo the manipulation by selecting your cutting view as well as your details...

Sometimes, this does not work directly with the object of the model, depending on certain types of welding.

All that remains is to put the welds back in with the annotation tools.

Hello, thank you for your answers.

Unfortunately, even if you remove the weld seams and then recreate them, they still don't show up on cross-sectional views.

I didn't know that you could add weld seams "manually" with the annotation tools. Could you explain to me how to proceed?

Finally, you can always tinker with insertion>annotation>weld bead and by clicking on the edges that interest you, but I still can't display my welds for cutting.

I have exactly the same problem today... The fillet welds are imported on the drawing but not the welds contained in the weld file. Is this normal?

How do I import them both?

Thank you

If you still have an old solidworks  lying around, before 2011 when you create your welds, it generates parts for you so no problem in the MEPs. It's a shame that they abandoned  this function. ..

Too bad and yet I'm on 2016 SP4.... Will these problems be solved in 2017???

It is possible that my problem comes from the fact that my construction is a ready plan....

do your soldering via a sweep you name them

and file them in a soldering folder that you will create

This is the best way to be able to make cuts of parts

and keep your welds and quantify them

This is the way in which we proceeded previously to be sure of the result
