Hello, in our PDM workflow the beginning starts with Project and ends with Executed with different phases between these two states. We are not in a traditional design office, we are integrated into a factory and we are often forced to modify our equipment and therefore the existing plans (therefore in the Executed state ). That's why in the workflow we can take an Executed plan and put it back in a Project state.
However, sometimes interns or external contributors modify the plans in the Executed state, which is not normal for us.
Is there in PDM the possibility to prevent the extraction of a plan (part, assembly or drawing) in a given state, for us the impossibility of extracting a plan in the Executed state.
Thank you, have a good day.
Hello
In the Executed state, in the properties of the permission tab you can set rights on groups or users. Just uncheck write access to the groups you want. The best thing to do is to uncheck all the boxes except "Read content".
It's up to you to put the right people in the groups beforehand so as not to make those who need them lose their rights.
It is surprising, however, that the consultant who came to put the PDM in your company did not give you a good idea of how the workflow works.

Hello
With us it is impossible to extract a trusted file (except for the user admin). Normally this should be the basis for all EPDM users.
You have to go through a change of state to extract the file (so normally mount a revision).
Then, as @dominique.naudet points out, you have to manage the rights of the different groups/users (who has the right to change the state of a validated file?)

Thank you very much for your answers, I'll look into it.
The consultant we had was a bit light apparently! (not from Visiativ)
