Solidworks Simulation and Section

Hello

Is it possible in the result of a simulation (e.g. the constraints of vonMises), when we make a cross-section, that the cutting plane automatically passes through the "point" where the value is the highest.

The point that is indicated when you click "show max annotation" in the constraint plot.

Thank you

Hello

To my knowledge no automatic function because the general philosophy of MEP simulation is to draw the designer's attention to certain potentially problematic areas. But you can ask to have the Max and Min value in automatic

In other words, it appeals to your intelligence.

On the other hand, there are other possibilities than the three classic Von Mises, displacement, deformation or CS.

Make the most of all the possibilities offered by the results section. For example, you can have an automatic diagnosis of stress sensitive points with the value at the nodes, which is another way to solve the PB.

You can also have results on a section between two planes knowing that in general the over-stressed areas do not move in large proportions in the axial direction with respect to the max bending . Moreover, if you have not done some calculations beforehand or if with experience, you know just by seeing it how a piece of scrap metal will resist or not.

It also depends on what you want to do with the simulation:  but I suggest you take a good look at the possibilities of the "Plotting the equation of results" function, it gives you other possibilities.

Kind regards
