3d mouse

Hello

As part of my work I use SolidWorks Composer 2014 x64 Edition, I bought a 3D mouse of the spacemouse type. but it is impossible for me to use it.

this one was compatible??

how do I configure it so that SolidWorks Composer recognizes it??

Is there another material of this type???

Thank you for your answers.

Hello

Have you tried with SolidWorks? Does it work?

And the small games or tests they  offer with the 3D mouse also work?

Otherwise, a way to solve if it's a compatibility problem:

Edit: unfortunately, I think that Composer (formerly 3DVIA), is not compatible with the 3D mouse, on the site you are looking for Composer or 3DVia, you can't find anything:

http://www.3dconnexion.fr/supported-software/software0.html

While there are several add-ons when you get SolidWorks (PhotoWorks, CamWorks,...)

Thank you .PL for your answer.

I come to the same conclusion as you, solidworks composer must not be compatible.

I checked the link all is well registered in the registry and the software provided with the mouse function very well but in solidworks composer nothing.

Have you looked at the drivers for your 3D mouse

See this page

On normal solidworks it works

no I didn't look in the old drivers I installed the latest one.

During the installation it will automatically look for the latest piliote on the site http://www.3dconnexion.fr

I managed to get the ZOOM  function to work, not nothing for rotation and the rest.

see this forum specific 3Dconnexion

Hello samuel. Namikaze

impossible to answer your question because in the context of my work I don't have SOLIDWORKS

I just have the composer 2014 SP2 version

When installing the 3D mouse drivers, you select "custom" and you check the products on which you want your mouse to work.

with 3DVIA the 3D mouse must work

Hello flegendre

By default during installation the drivers of various software is installed (Pro I, 3D Max, SolidWorks etc;;)

I tried to check only solidworks but it doesn't work any better. and composing is not proposing.

@ fcoutaz1 if I read your last message well and as you don't have solidworks

You don't have the shares of solidworks so it may be normal that it doesn't work

Since according to my knowledge you have to work at the base with the assembly of solidworks

that you load on compose to be able to make it evolve as you wish

If I have all the shares but they come from Pro I, and until now for what I need to do my company provides me with a composer that meets all my needs (exploded views, annimation etc...)

I saw your last message but on the one hand the Space Pilot PRO is not at the same price so the space mouse would be very good but even if he says: 3DConnexion, n°1 supplier of 3D mice for ...  All 3DConnexion mice are compatible with SolidWorks and its partner solutions

it is impossible for me to make it work.

There is a good note

All 3D Connection mice are Solidworks and partner product compatible

yes I want to believe it but how??? I spent two days on it and as I said apart from the zoom nothing else works. On the other hand, with the exercises and the program delivered with the mouse, everything works very well.

I looked in all the options of dialing and I couldn't find anything that allowed me to tell him what type of mouse I use.

I made a request to 3Dconnexion but for the moment no answer.

Have you watched this demo

this video doesn't tell me anything more and as I said the Space Pilot PRO costs more than 300€ and that's the one in the video.
