Subtract part from 2 pieces in an asm

2 pieces in an assembly intersect. I would like to be able to adjust one in relation to their intersection.

Thanks in advance

Hello

This is possible by editing the piece in the context of:

http://help.solidworks.com/2013/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_Editing_Parts_in_the_Assembly_Context.htm

Then by converting the entities:

http://help.solidworks.com/2012/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/Convert_Edge.htm

By activating the external references and making a material removal function (we can then delete the external references and then redimension the sketch).

Maybe also see the intersection curve:

Hello

As @jfaradon, edit part to modify and function imprint by comparison to the second.

Here is an image. I want the U to match the dome of the background.

So in this case, I'll have created a feature in the assembly, converting the curved sketch.

I will have removed material by acting only on one part.

Then you check the box "propagate the function to the parts"

There you go!

In this case, edit the U in the assembly.

Create a surface offset at 0 d on the face of your background.

And use this surface to limit your part (removal of material with surface).

Otherwise imprint didn't work????

Thank you. I had shifted the surface by 0mm but I couldn't find a function anymore to remove material with surface.

Flawless.

I didn't find the DSL fingerprint function

Ok, The imprint function is with all the others in the Insert/Functions menu.

For information to return an order, you can use the order search in the search menu see attached image.
