I am on Solidworks 2019 SP1, I have two files on my screen, mine on the left and the file to reproduce.
I'm trying to reproduce a spherical piece with several layers (like onions, or like ogres..)
My problem is that when removing extruded material, I don't have the "Function Area" function available in the PropertyManager of my part, whereas on the reference part it appears well. So I can't apply my extrusion only to one layer, the function is applied to the whole part.
I've searched all over the internet but can't find anything, it's probably just a checkbox.
It may not be very clear, so I made a little photo montage to show you the difference between the 2 pieces.
We can clearly see that the function present on the right-hand part is not there on the left-hand part.
It's probably a stupid question, but I really need your help.
