SW2020 vs. ...?

Hello community,

Is there a version after SW2020 that would justify replacing it, at least in terms of performance and stability?

An overview of your opinions and experiences on your transition from one 2020 to another could shed some light on many things.

Thank you.

Hello
Difficult to answer in my opinion, they all have more or less bugs.
I have only had the 2021 and the 2022 so far (2023 early next year) but I would tend to say that the 2021 was a bit more stable.
For the overall performance I will have a hard time answering because the security overlays on our workstations penalize the overall functioning of SW. Basically, at iso poste we went from a score of about 80s (SW performance test) to more than 110s (we had gone back down to 80s but it's fluctuating at the moment).
Now, if you are under a maintenance contract, you might as well tell you that you are not paying for anything if you are not at least on an n-2 version compared to the current major version (and even n-1 would be more suitable).
In any case, for a SW production, do not install a version lower than SP3 unless your IT department allows an update during the year when the SPs are released. With us, we are systematically on the n-1 version in SP5.

Hello;

Start by checking the compatibility of your computer hardware with the targeted versions...
As @Cyril.f says, it's almost a "Personal" feeling for the stability of one version compared to another. We are in 2022_sp4 on all our PCs and the result is... Fluctuating...
However, don't switch to a version lower than SP4, and I would advise not to use the current year's version...

Kind regards.
