Excel table on MEP

Hello

Is it possible to lock the location and dimension of an Excel spreadsheet on a drawing?

In fact, I wish users couldn't move the table on the MEP, as well as zoom in and move freely when editing the table to change values.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Hello

To lock the location, you need to set an anchor point as for the classic SW tables.

For the locking of the sheet to my knowledge no possibility.

 Hello Cyril.f,

How do you have to have an anchor point?

In the drawing, when you scroll down the background tree view, you have the anchors of the different tables.

For the sheet lock, you have to do it like for an excel I guess ... Put a password.

You select all the boxes that should not be changed (the whole sheet if the whole sheet), then right-click => cell format => protection.

Check the "locked" box if it doesn't need to be changed. Uncheck there otherwise and validate.

Once this step is done, go to the "review" tab => "protect the sheet". Uncheck the "select locked cells" option.

If you're sure you remember the password, put one. Otherwise avoid

And that's it, your sheet is no longer editable.

To be able to modify it again, just go back to the "revision" tab => "remove the protection of the sheet"

Small variation. If you don't want anything to be editable, go directly to "review" =>"sheet protection" and uncheck everything then validate

To define an anchor point, you have to "Edit the basemap" then right-click  and select "Define an anchor point" after selecting a point (such as a corner of the frame for example):

Hello

Thank you all for your responsiveness.

Coin37coin I know the protections of excel tables, what I would like to do is to block the movements when editing to avoid changing the display on the MEP.

Thank you for the anchor points

Otherwise, is it possible to place this table in the background plan and define editable areas as for a 3D cartridge? If so, the update of the calculations will be done automatically or would it be possible with a Ctrl +Q?

Yet another idea, what if I put this table in the basemap, and the editable values are retrieved in the custom properties? This could allow me to keep my drop-down list and change the desired values, but same question about the update.

I would like to avoid macros, I haven't had any experience in this field yet, but if it is essential I take it.

For your information, the file will be saved under a new reference each time you make a change.

Thanks in advance
