look at what the construction pros at OBAT say it gives you a starting point (beware of the samsung galaxy or the touch screen doesn't work properly. It's the only one I've had in my hands to avoid AMHA my mason friend was always complaining afterwards and asked me for an opinion)
We use a tablet PC to go to the workshops (Lenovo Miix 510) With wifi, you can connect to networks in order to have access to servers and therefore to PDF documents, DWG documents... If it's on a construction site, you can think of a VPN
Regarding the 3D scanner, I recently opened a topic on it where Centor gives feedback on the use of equipment from this brand (but the previous version) https://www.lynkoa.com/forum/solidworks/renseignement-scanner-3d We are thinking of moving towards this solution as well
As for Windows tablets, be careful with the storage space, the OBAT site indicates 32GB as the minimum, it's too tight, the system may crash on a major update. For the record, 32GB is the minimum recommended by Microsoft for Windows to run at a minimum...
Choosing a tablet running on Windows will allow you to read pdfs but also edrawings easily.
It's probably the easiest to integrate but not necessarily where you'll have the most choice.
The ideal being 'rugged' models.
Otherwise I bought a 12'' Windows GO surface from my son and got him a targus cover which is really suitable for construction sites (handle at the back, shockproof edges.. ) https://www.maxiburo.fr/offre/8063982/targus-safeport-rugged-max-protection-rabat-pour-tablette?Referrer=6198063982&utm_campaign=Comparateurs_prix&utm_source=GoogleProducts&origine=PARCOM&ttc=1&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj0KCQiA9P__BRC0ARIsAEZ6irgCGFzExeVOFxTM6amRx7tRUbjEdWKqfwMgjYQq9JFwdY8q7iWd_KoaAseuEALw_wcB
The cover is almost as heavy as the tablet... (NB: it seems that on the new models for surface GO 2 they no longer have the handle at the back which is a shame because it can be quite suitable for handling on site or warehouse)
