PDM Release Task

Hello

The PDM doesn't handle image-based textures well (yes, I assure :grin:you).
If I put a texture on a part (jpg and p2m texture file saved in the chest) and one of my colleagues opens this file, the texture jumps. By simply pointing it back, everything returns to normal, but it's still painful on a daily basis, when you have to do this on dozens of pieces.
The problem is that SW looks for textures locally, not in the chest, so if the texture has never been loaded, it doesn't see it. By pointing again, you load it, and it works again.

The solution proposed by the visiativ support: save all the textures outside the box, (and therefore no more problem getting the latest version). but you have to point everything out, and with us everything is in the trunk... and there are many...
Or store them in a single folder and go click on them regularly to get the latest version. Not very ergonomic and the textures are not all in the same place. Not great either.

I tried to do a favorite search, which would allow you to find all the image and texture files, to be able to load them quickly, no matter where they are in the trunk, but it doesn't work great, and it's not automatic...

So I'm looking to create a PDM task that would automatically load the latest version of each image or texture file in the vault when the PDM starts.

Is it possible? Because I don't have a clue how to do that.

Help, then.

I'm looking to use Cacherefresh, but you can't select by file type, only by folder, which would mean loading the whole vault, every day. Users will blow up, and PC hard drives won't appreciate it

Hello

If all your textures are in a directory in the vault with a "get latest" option on this directory when connecting to the vault you should no longer have a problem: everyone will always have the same files that will be synchronized every time at each PDM login.
This is what we do with our " library " directory. All our background settings... are in it.
And you have to put this location in the SW options at the file location level:

Yes, that's what we ended up doing, all the textures in the same folder, and getting the latest version when we opened the station, in auto.

Too bad for the storage of specific textures in the room folder, but hey...
