Text on rolling sheet metal

Good evening everyone

Hello Marco

Make a sketch on a plane tangent to a few mm from the rolled surface.

Then use the winding function.

Inserting ==> Functions ==> winding

Be careful, only works on cylindrical surfaces, which seems to be your case.

Kind regards

Hello Macro,

The method proposed by @Zozo_mp that I salute and the good one, on the other hand, the int parts of your letters will jump when unfolded because in the unfolded Sw does not know how to manage in the removal of non-passing matter and makes them through so the inside of the "e", "a" and "o" will jump.

To keep the inside of the  E  A O , you need to use a laser cutting font.

may the force be with you.

NB: To avoid the problem reported by AC cobra there are special laser cut fonts where the inner parts of the text are attached by thin links.

From memory there are topics on this subject on this forum
