Tolerances and adjustments

Hi all

Is it possible to set the number of digits after the decimal point of tolerances (2 digits for example) and tolerances with adjustment (3 digits) differently?

Thank you for your answers.

Hello

To my knowledge, it is not configurable in a global way, it is necessarily case by case. On the other hand, by using favorites (interface proposed when selecting/creating a dimension) it is possible to propagate a formatting to a set of pre-selected dimensions.

By setting the default (document option) to 0.1 for tolerance.

When you type a "numeric value" 0.1, it doesn't change anything.

When you type a "numeric value" 0.01, the number after the decimal point changes by itself.

same on 0.001... it changes on its own.

May the dark side be with you...

I don't really see how this is a problem. If it was locked, it would be a bit awkward to change a tolerance on the fly, right?

The default setting is there to avoid having to reformat each integrated element. And consequently leave the hand to modify as you wish (customization of a dimension for example).

You need the "Document Settings"/Wrapping Standards/Dimensions in the drawing (*.drwdot) and part/asm (*.prtdot/*.asmdot) template file(s) (if you are using object extraction to make the dimensioning).
Be careful that there are no special cases that have already been defined (so explore all the sections).

Thank you for these answers.

In fact, I use the "douments options" in the templates (.dot) to define the precision of the tolerances to the hundredth, which is more than enough for me. So when I put a tolerance with adjustment (H7/g6 for example), the tolerance that is displayed is also to the hundredth, so rounded. I would have liked to have been able to display this tolerance to the thousandth and the others to the hundredth.

Another possibility is to define all the tolerances to the thousandth and remove the zero on the right on the tolerances to the hundredth. Is this configurable?

Thanks in advance

The automatic decimal update for each dimension is when in "a value is typed"

in the case of a dual display (H7... + numeric values)

The auto update is not done, it's up to the user to do it.

The solution mentioned above, going through styles might be the best suited.
