Plotter and postscript

Hello

I have problems printing plans (HP designjet T610 plotter).

When the plans are very large, it doesn't print everything for me, and there is still a blank area, I have an error message on the plotter telling me that the internal memory is full, and that information will be lost.

I tried to find out if we could play with the quality of the plan print on Solidworks, but without success.

The age (and especially the lack of memory) of my tracker seems to be the cause of the problem.

So we are studying the option of changing the A0 tracker. I was advised a postscript-compatible plotter, and it raises the bill. Especially since I'm not sure I have any interest in having a post script plotter to print solidworks (I have the impression that it's more for image files from what I've read..)

In short, do you have any suggestions on the choice of a plotter, or any feedback on post script plotters.

Our paper consumption really varies greatly from one period to another. You can use several rolls in a month, and not print for several months.

Thank you for your feedback

Hello

If you save your plans as a PDF and then start printing, it works??? It might avoid the purchase of a new tracker while it is still working.

In the plotters you can usually change the resolution (in the Quality menu on my plotter) which saves a lot of memory you go to 300pp (300 pixcel per inch) this is more than enough for most cases. By default they are often at 600 or + which considerably increases the weight of the plans otherwise pdf as quoted by  ac cobra 427 .

You can also send us screenshots of your tracker settings, we'll see what can be changed, and if it's possible to do better.

This doesn't always work with PDFs.

Sometimes it's even the opposite. On schedules, I can't print the pdf, while I can print via project
