Turning an stl file into a step

Hello

You open your stl file with a 3D software (Solidworks, Creo element, catia....)

then you save in the STEP format. And that's the work

It's not wrong tomalam ... Unless the STL is a graphic body and then necessarily the transformation into a step will not be possible since no surface data will be present.

well after the question is vague ... I would have tended to answer the same way as you would have done by the way.

Indeed, and if you don't have CAD software, you can try with this tutorial in English, which uses FreeCAD:

The . STL (originally created for stereolitography)

Are files of points 3 points formed a facets.

Under catia V5 you can import a . STL and view it

but to convert it into a step you have to work it with the STL fast protoying and quick surface reconstruction workshops see tutorial

I come to ask for your help. I have an STL that I want to convert to stp. Could one of you do it for me? It's a room to make masks to protect my colleagues from covid 19

Thank you
