Turning an Image into a Sketch - SolidWorks

Good evening

How to take the logo for the WaterSlide challenger easily?

Going through Autotrace is really not great.

Inkspace to improve tracing?

To pass the whole image back between splines and lines/arcs?

How do you go about it?

Thank you

I go through Autotrace, sometimes it works well:)

Otherwise I go over the image, I can't find other solutions

Look at this tutorial among others

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/tuto-creation-d-un-model-l-aide-d-une-image

you enlarge your image as much as possible once put to the size you want

and draw straight lines on the pixelation axis (at best)

curved forgetfulness and splines are useless

it won't be seen afterwards at normal size

I have tested several times and very complex models

and the right are sucessiving, it's going very fast

See this communication thread too

@ lespetitpied had a walkthrough that suited him

via Adobe Illustrator and then converted to SW

For my image of a princess castle I used illustrator for vectorization, and then made an autotrace.

The quality of the original image matters enormously
