I have a client who sent me a DWG and to not have to redesign everything I would like to work on it.
On which software can I do it I have only standard solidworks

Hello, if it's a 2D drawing you can insert it in your part file as a reference. Select a plane/insert dwg/dxf. This way, the 2D plan becomes a sketch automatically and can be edited by converting it to an editable sketch (right-click on the sketch).
Pay attention to scales and units

To answer your question, we would need to know more about your file and what you want to do with it....
But generally speaking, yes you can start from a dwg to do sheet metal or volume. The dwg just has to lend itself to it.

I just want to modify this dwg
So in this case a 2D software seems more appropriate to me. Autocad allows this, by installing the demo valid for 1 month for example, or turning to free software like freecad I think
