Finding a neutral fiber on a dead solid in Catia

Hello

It's all in the title, I can't find this function that I used in the past. I selected the "dead" pipe, and the function gave me a pretty good approximation of the neutral fiber. Very useful for quick costing, without having to draw each point of each section, then the neutral fiber in polyline,...

Do you have an idea please?

Thank you for your answer

Hello

If I'm not mistaken, the function you're looking for is the "isoparametric curves" function.

You'll find this option in the same toolbar as the splines.

Hello

@+1 ludo.mai

Another GSD command "Middle Surface"

Very practical except on (bent round wire).

Hello

Thank you for your answers.

@ludo.mai: this function looks like what I'm looking for, but it doesn't give the neutral fiber, i.e. the curve that passes through the center of each section of the pipe.

@franck.ceroux: Which version of Catia do you use? I can't find this function, nor even the "offset" toolbar.

Hello

This function is enabled by the GSD module.

But as I said, it doesn't work for a cylindrical pipe.

The Isoparametric curve can give the median curve of a section of the pipe, but its support must be built.
