Projected/True Rating Type

Hello

I use Solidworks 2014 and when drawing, sometimes the type of projected or true dimensions is on true. So much so that if you don't pay attention, the odds are different from those desired. Is there a way to set this default setting on a dimension type?

Kind regards

You need a template document Layout set to true and it won't budge anymore.

I have to contradict Aliende,

The default is always "projected dimensions", which allows you to dimension on a "flat" view a distance X or Y despite the shift in Z.

(Principle of projection without perspective, it has a name it seems to me, but I don't know which one...)

Solidworks activates the "true" mode only when you put down a 3D view, which allows you to dimension logically in the view afterwards.

The problem often comes from switching a "true" 3D view to a "flat" view, at this point the "true" dimension remains active, and it distorts the way we set dimensions, so we have to think about switching back to "projected dimension" when we come back to a "flat" view. Or better, to rest a new view.

Thank you for your feedback, but is there a way to adjust the type of odds on projected.

After you put down a view, yes, just select the view, and go to the left panel.
