Update solidworks - Library

Hi all

Do you have a trick to update your library when you update your solidworks?

In the task scheduler there are no sldlfp files (or even slddrt backgrounds.. )

Thank you

Hello

It seems to me that we dealt with the subject one or two days ago.

I put the swsettings file on the desktop so you just have to double click on it so that the right menu opens for the update of the old settings.

In summary, there are many users (including me ;-)  ) who make a backup of all the parameters, taking care to put it outside the Solidworks folders.

I even go further, if you are on an individual computer and you have two disks, put your backup on the disk that does not have the OS. Indeed, if the system disk goes banana you can't restart it easily. While the second disc will still be available.

""If you have a back-up (which is not a hot backup)  you can get the N-1 version) if you act quickly but it all depends on how you made your back-up

In the belt and strap genre, the SWsetting files are part of those taken into account in my  back-up so that the pants stay in post :-)

Kind regards

Thank you Zozo for your answer.

I went back up on about ten pages but didn't find it (or nothing via a "catchy" title)

The setting file is for user settings I think. Does it influence the library files too?

EDIT: I just understood the answer, in fact I'm not afraid of losing the links but look if there is an automation manip to open the library files and re-save them in the current version of SW. ;)
