[Urgent] Problems with SolidWorks Electrical 2D Installation

Hi all

After an untimely uninstallation of our SW Electrical 2D software, we tried to reinstall it but several points blocked us in the reinstallation:

1stpoint:

Following a change of domain, we no longer have an account with the necessary rights to reconnect the database manually. So we had to restore an old account on the old domain to reconnect the database. The problem is that these accounts will soon disappear completely, which may block us if the case were to recur in the future.

We would need to be able to set up a new account with its rights on our new domain and maybe have the password to log in as a Super Administrator. How do I find this password and manage to define the rights of the accounts in the new domain?

2ndpoint:

When launching the software after this morning's installation, we are asked to activate our license.

I choose to activate the license automatically by internet but it constantly shows me an error message indicating that the serial number does not entitle me to a version of SW Electrical 2019 and yesterday I was still working on this version.

I tried the activation by email but I only received a warning email, as a response, telling me that my serial number is not planned for a 2020 version (I'm looking to activate a 2019 version what's more)

Thank you in advance for your support,

Immanuel

Your request is much too technical for the forum and is part of the support (via opening a ticket) hoping that you have a maintenance contract...

The easiest way in your case is to launch a ticket (see the "support" tab of this site) and in general they will contact you quite quickly since it is a blocking situation.

Only they will be able to tell you if your license is valid or active for this or that version of electrical.

You just need to have an open internet connection so that they can take control via Team Viewer. (to be installed on the workstation in question)
