Use a Part Family in an Assembly

Hello

I explain my problem, I have created a family of parts for tests on a tube in order to demonstrate the different configurations of the tube according to its inclination and its length.

I would like to be able to use the family of parts in an assembly to do demonstrations with my tube on an installation for example, the problem being that I don't know how to do it at all.

When I try to create a new family of parts in my assembly and get the one from my tube, obviously, it doesn't work, so I would like to know if it was possible to link the family of my tube to my assembly.

I'm on SolidWorks 2018, don't hesitate to tell me if my explanation is not clear^^

To simply create a part family, it is often enough to make 2 configurations with all the desired differences (here the 2 different configurations) before automatically creating the part family and then modifying it (renaming the configurations and making the different modifications)
