Like the detection of interference in assemblies, do you know if there is, or if it is possible to create, a utility capable of analyzing the distances between all the surfaces of a part file?
To go into more detail, I would like the utility in question to be able to automatically indicate to me (highlight?) two surfaces that have a lower proximity than the one I would have indicated.
Example: show me the surfaces that have a proximity to each other of less than 3mm.
In the CAD Viewer 3D_Analyzer it is possible to detect discrepancies, I don't know if that's what you're interested in.
It is said that: The clearance control tool quickly gives an indication of the minimum distances between the elements of the same assembly, the detection is set according to a minimum distance which avoids serious manufacturing problems.
So in fact I thought for example of shifting a surface of a part in relation to another part, and thickening this surface from the inside without merging to use the collision afterwards.
First of all, thank you for your support. After multiple searches, what I want does not seem to exist and not possible for the moment with SW's features.
It is indeed possible to see and analyze distances in assemblies between the parts that make up the part, but there are no similar functions in the part files.
The use of a sensor is possible of course but only between two defined surfaces and putting all my surfaces under the surveillance of a sensor seems very tedious to me.
In reality I would have liked something light to do a check at the end of the study on all my parts, one by one, to be sure that there is not one of the holes that passes too close to another machined shape and that could, if the drill doesn't drill straight, To open up in the shape next door. Hence my minimum monitoring distance of 3mm...
