In an assembly I create several configurations to display certain networks, equipment, etc.
I create my drawings from these configurations.
But since I'm sometimes dizzy, I continue to work on a configuration I created for a drawing. As a result, I add, subtract, elements of my config (when I should be working on another config).
In short, is there a way to lock a config as it is, but keep the possibility to modify it later. Basically, I'm looking for a way to get an error message telling me that my config is locked, and that if I want to modify it I have to unlock it before making a modification.
I don't think there is a "living solution" to block configurations.
You would have to go through macros, but anyway, it will take a manual action to lock the config, so if you forget to lock you will have the same problem!
The best thing to do is to be attentive! Just kidding! :)
Hello, it is currently impossible to lock a configuration, it is a bug reported to SolidWorks under the 'SPR# number 266538. You can subscribe to this bug to find out when it will be fixed.
