Captive screws

Hi all!

I wonder about the use of captive screws of this type: Captive screws - ACCU

Do any of you use them regularly? If so, have recommendations from reliable dealers (online or physical) offering a good variety of captive screws of the same type as at ACCU, I'm interested. We are currently having more and more problems to get supplies from ACCU due to the fact that the site is English... between customs and payment etc :confused:

Thank you in advance for your feedback and advice.

Hello;

Due to too many supply problems and poor workmanship (regardless of the supplier); We now have " standard " screws machined directly at a machinist near our company.
=> More responsive, tailor-made dimensions and much lower cost (even in very small series).
The second advantage is that depending on the integration of the screw, it is possible not to remove the screw thread " intermittently "...

As for the deformable washers most often associated with this type of " Captive " screws, we buy boxes of 100 pieces (when we put them in).

Hello,
For Torx imprints, to be avoided in the food industry when it is in contact with the food, because there will be product retention... => then breeding of bacteria... :face_with_thermometer:
