Greyed out core/footprint volume

Hello, I am looking to make a large volume one-piece mold (8M x 6M x 1M).

Parting lines, parting lines and drafts are correct.

Unfortunately it is impossible for me to click on the kernel/fingerprint volume function, it is grayed out.

When I click on stop surface, I get a message that the parting line is complete and that stop surfaces are not needed.

Anyone have any idea of the origin of the problem?

Thanks in advance

Hello

You work on a surface part, just edit "surface-couseue2" and create a solid,

Good evening
Parting line and parting plane can be created on the polygon model, but you do need a solid model to use the Volumes/Core/Footprint function.
On the other hand, it has a problem on your model when defining the joint line. Everything goes smoothly by selecting the large flat base to define this joint line and the opening direction. But after validation, if we re-edit this function, the surface retained by SolidWorks is one of the oblique triangular faces. And it is impossible to make him listen to reason.

My solution: remove the two functions of line and parting line, and start from scratch their definitions... It works, and both parts of the mold can be generated.

The result is in the attached document.

It worked

Thanks again to you:)

Mm, I thought the question was the origin of the problem not the analysis of the model, but hey ;-)
