Hello, I don't use this configuration but only a Workstation MSI WT60 20J laptop.

At home, I add a 27" screen for more comfort.

What is the purpose of your question?

Hi@ industrialcadservices and thanks for the interest of the topic

The purpose of the question

is to know how to do it

Fixed station is made for bump on at the desk

so I'd like to take the files that have been processed from the fixed on the laptop (in car if possible)

I take the laptop on the go with the same logs and files in progress

and I'm working on it

and I go back in reverse, I pump (in the car if possible) what's on the cell phone

and bumps on the landline

and vis and Versailles ;-)

Hi, uh in my company we work a bit like it but the stations are wired to a network (server) and as soon as they go on the move they switch to a Wifi network which allows them to stay connected all the time!

After I am not computer savvy enough to know more precisely how it works.sorry

Thanks @ G

but on the go wifi is not the best ;-)

Hello

I worked like that too and we used the same method as G. . The problem is that if you store the data on a common folder in the server, the data can take a long time to transfer to the station's disk.

The best would be to connect remotely to the station to work directly on your disk and thus not have problems downloading data. Mstsc (Remote Desktop Connection) will do for that.

Hi gt22,

We have laptops with docking stations and when we go on a trip we take our 3G key with us which allows us to have access to the net almost everywhere and we have secure access on our network so we work on the files on the server and colleagues who want to see the progress have access to them after each saving of the file.

Hello @Gt22.

For the non-confidential Grabcad Workbench.

For the confidential Synkron (in mobile version).

For both it is the same principle synchronization of a folder on the two stations.

Is that what it seemed to me:)

The solution that suits me best was to use my OneDrive space to back up all my CAD data.

The data is synchronized every time I have an internet collection, whether it's by sharing my mobile phone's collection, the connection to customers' homes (to be avoided as much as possible) or a public place.

For the sharing of designs, I create a folder per client, I send the sharing link to the manager who distributes the files to him.

so for you @ ludo.mai

The best would be to connect remotely to the station to work directly on your disk and thus not have problems downloading data. Mstsc (Remote Desktop Connection) will do for that.

It is taking control of the fixed station via an Internet link and a remote desktop connection (MSTSC)

so no need to have the SW log installed on the laptop

I will have a direct view of the work of the fixed station and will be able to retrieve the files if necessary?

So no need to have a mobile mobile station, a simple lamnda mobile should work in this case

if I understood correctly

and the files will always be up to date on the fixed since created on the fixed

so for you @ Ac Cobra

a portable workstation installs them on it

and file recovery on the fixed station via the internet and 3G key and

Once you're done recording on the mobile phone

and via the 3G internet connection updates files on the server

if I understood correctly

@+ ;-)

That's right.

For my part, I work on a laptop with a configuration more intended for office automation. I only use it to connect to the fixed station. So I don't store anything you PC me

If you still want to retrieve documents on your laptop or transfer them to the station, just copy and paste them for them to be transferred (the speed of transfer will depend on your connection of course).

However, you have to take into account that if your connection is really bad you may have a delay between the time you click on a function and the time you see it on the screen.

In fact, we have remote access to our server via a secure connection and we work directly on the file as if we were in the office. But don't ask me how it works because I don't know, it's our IT department that set it up...

Thank you @ franck.ceroux

I didn't know these logs

To study, do they keep the native files?

I have the same principle at home. I have a server with a USB key that I connect to the PC and I enter my LOGS then I can work on my files that I have at home and from anywhere, or regrade my movies..

Grabcad is the equivalent of Onedrive but for the "free private space" CAD

The files are uploaded to the storage space, the platform allows you to view measure, etc.

It's a platform for collaboration.

You scroll down an app on each station that interfaces with the storage space, you see the modified files, the comments, etc., you choose what you synchronize.

Synckron is a software that analyzes changes between two folders and offers the synchronization of what has changed (in French for free).

For remote control not easy because of the Box and Firewall.

Have two apps

See Team viewer and VNC comparison
