Do you have a solution to put this part through sheet metal? I would like to have a flat cut for the cutting in the workshop but now I'm drying.

Hello, I am stuck, after research and a lot of attempts, on the unfolding of a sheet metal.  I attach the SLDPRT, it is a slide that I think is made up of 4 parts wrapped around a central axis. The upper part unfolds very well. Does the problem come from the splitting of the body by abduction? Or directly from the way to create the sheet metal part by a transition fold?  Thanks in advance toboggan.sldprt

How do you unfold a helical ferrule?

I would like to unfold a cylindrical sheet metal in a spiral (see attached file) but I can't unfold it. Does anyone have an idea? tole_spire.sldprt

Hello, no it doesn't work at all, I posted the part as an example but impossible to unfold it

From your room; make a 3D sketch of the inside of the spiral and then close it, then do the same for the outer spiral of the same part (high or low for both sketches) and then use the delete body function. Once the body is deleted, select in the creation tree the two 3D sketches by doing CTRL and also select transition fold and there you will only have to choose the sheet metal parameters and it should have been good
