Inflection

Hello everyone. (sorry if I put 3dexperience as an option, but I don't understand anything about this label thing). I find it more and more difficult to post a question.
I also don't have the possibility to attach an explanatory photo...

So, I'm still on Solidworks 2021.
Question: When I want to do a flexion, I can only do it in the Z axis.
How do you make this deformation in the Y direction?

Thank you.

If you want to use bending on a non-Z axis, you should not use the " Beam " mode, use the Volume Mesh instead.
Otherwise, a new coordinate system (X;Y; Z)
Be careful with gravity (mass), I'm no longer sure that you can modify the axis in its application.

Thank you Maclane.
I finally managed to put an image (the image insert icon didn't appear).

For your explanations, too complicated for me. in general, the official explanations " help Solidworks " are incomprehensible to a non-professional.

So much for me... on the other hand without the image... I had gone to the " Simulation " module of Solidworks because of " Bending " (for me it immediately looks like RDM).

So I'll go back: To achieve your " Bending " on the Y axis, modify the angle values in the " Trihedron " with:
X=0 deg
Y=270 deg
Z=0 edg

Currently your value is exclusively on Z...

This document from our late national @Zozo_mp should help you familiarize yourself with this forum

Wow! It's that we shouldn't bury our @Zozo_mp too quickly... It is just vi... uh... retired... :grin:
I'm joking of course.
That said, it would be good to put this type of document at the top of the Forum.With the one of the charter of " Good behavior and good practices " (huh?, what? ... how does this document not exist!!) :sweat_smile:

Done

Thank you Maclane.
I searched a lot for explainer videos without success.
I test as soon as possible.
Good night

That's right. Thank you Maclane.
Have a great week.
