List of welded parts in a BOM

Good evening

I'm in solidworks 2012.

No matter how much I read the different tutorials, I can't create a nomenclature of welded parts with the nominal lengths.

I think my problem (I think!) comes from properties or something like that.

The explanation in the help menu says that you just have to open a table and choose "tabbed list" then "detailed numbering" then "detailed list of welded parts".

Once done, I have empty boxes.

There must be a manipulation to be done beforehand.

If a charitable soul could help me...

In the meantime, pleasant evening

I'm adding an example of a file...

Good evening

It's normal that there are no welds, you didn't do any on your 3D model.

You have to do the welds with

The part is good but I don't know why there is a problem when you generate the table: I had to add a column associated with the "item property of the welded parts list" to get the values.

Hello Alain,

Thank you for answering me.

I didn't specify but I want the nomenclature on a drawing.

The drawing is done with a nomenclature.

I attach the files of a simple example.

Ok for the welds but at first it's mainly the length dimensions to have the flow rates that would interest me.

In the meantime, I wish you a pleasant day

Thank you for your participation Stefbeno.

Have a nice day

Be careful for the flows, the lengths are that of the sketch segment... So depending on how the profile is in relation to this segment, you have to correct the miter cuts.

Sorry, I had misread your question, I thought you didn't have any solder in your solder table hence my answer.

For me, the lengths appear well by setting the column to the Length (or Lenght) property

Ok but I still don't know how to do it...

You have to double-click on the column header (E) and then set the window that appears to Custom Properties and then Length

Thank you Alain, but then where does the problem come from? Is there a problem with the settings or properties? I have nothing or almost nothing in my nomenclature...

I don't have SW12 on hand, but I don't think there's a big difference on this point.

To insert the name, go through this: cf PJ

Yes, I do these steps well. ..

Have you tried adding a column (right-click on the column headers, insert a column) like in my first message?

Can you take a screenshot for us?

I attached the complete file in zip

Here is the screenshot...

And here is the chassis alone...

Hello @jeanartemis,

I have the impression that you are looking to insert your bill of materials of welded parts at the level of an assembly drawing. However, this nomenclature only works if you insert it at the level of a part drawing!

This is certainly where your worries come from, if I have understood your problem correctly.

Edit: if you want all your flows in the same nomenclature, you have to put your wood panels in the room.

Ok, I'll try this and say what it is...

Thank you

I still don't understand, I had the 2010 version and the previous versions and it has always been a real headache.

I tried what you told me but it's the same, nothing appears.

When I go to the list of my welded parts of my assembly and I right-click on property, there are probably parameters to adjust but the values are not good even if I try to add different lengths to see if it works.

Nothing concrete.

I think I'll continue to do this by hand, I don't have anyone near me for the moment to inquire...

Anyway, thank you for your patience and good afternoon to all of you who had answered me.
