We are aware that two-factor authentication is a constraint for your user experience. Nevertheless, it is a guarantee of security for your data and stability for the platform. Unfortunately, not all Internet users are as benevolent as you are and some are looking for loopholes 
On the plus side, your forum session will expire more clearly when browsing. Also, you will no longer have to worry about starting a post and finding yourself logged out when you publish it, because you will have been disconnected upstream of the forum if it had ever been necessary.

One way to make it much less restrictive, without making it more vulnerable, would be to go through another route than [sending email-receiving-consulting-copying code]:
A captcha, a personal question (why not random), or even both at the same time, it's no less safe, much faster and much less tedious than currently.
This is the most problematic move to go through your emails with this two-factor authentication.
