Hi all
I want to stamp based on the status of the current revision.
Put "BPC" when it's validated and "BPE" when it's verified.
And if the revision index changes, the buffer must follow.
(I'm on the 2015 version)
Thank you in advance for your help

Hi Nicolas,
I guess you're talking about solidworks.
I use blocks, I made them red, clearly visible with good thicknesses of lines.

Hello Cyrille,
I'm on Solidworks Electrical. It works differently than Solidworks meca
Nicholas
Ditto, I'm SW
I use blocks, I go to a library to have a well-defined structure.
This allows me to take them out easily

Where I have a big doubt in your request is on the fact that the stamp should follow the revision. What do you mean by that?
I will try to clarify my request with an example.
I create my 1st revision which is called "Aa". I want the stamp to mark "Provisional".
Once this version is validated, I want the stamp to mark "BPC".
Once the version is checked, I want the stamp to mark "BPE".
Once all this is done, if I want to make changes, I have to create a new revision. I switch to "Ab". I want my stamp to follow and put "Provisional" since the version is neither validated nor verified. And so on.
At the moment, I'm buffering with user data. I can't do it with the revisions.
I hope that this is clearer.
I don't really see how you define whether your plan "validated", "verified" or "provisoir" ... But what you're asking seems to me to be more complicated to set up than telling the cartoonist to paste a predefined stamp from his library.
Maybe you should better orient yourself towards ERP management to do that? These are rather practical turnkey solutions
Hello
coin37coin is right, I think it would be better for the draftsman to use MEP's custom properties to quickly change values from a drop-down list. Simply bind an annotation block to the
Hello
A revision is broken down into 3 parts.
The 1st is creation. The 2nd is validation and the 3rd is verification. That's how it works in Electrical. Depending on which phase we are at in the revision, I want the buffer to follow (see my last comment).
I understand the fact of putting blocks, but I don't know how to make them evolve according to the state of my revision. Electrical works differently than Solidworks 3D. It does not contain a data table to do everything to.
Regarding the management software, we have EPDM, which manages the indices of the plans, but it is not developed enough for the Electrical version. I don't know if you've already tested, but to manage an Electrical project in the EPDM, you first have to archive it. And if you want to make the project evolve, you are forced to unarchive the project (which creates another one).
It is true that what I want to do is a bit complex with regard to the functions of the software.
While waiting to see if it evolves on the following versions, I'm going to make my buffer with the user data.
I manage it manually, but it works fine for now.
In the meantime, I thank you for looking into my problem
Hello
I might have a solution... It's to work with 3 kinds of MEP with each Ind and the Buffer that goes with it. During each evolution of ind you will just have to right click on the MEP then change and to make your life easier you can even save a macro for each evolution. You will only have to launch the macro to change the ind....
I insist on custom properties, you just have to select the desired annotation in a drop-down list, and you can put as many as you want, in 2s it's done.
DSL for image quality
Otherwise there are layers, personally I use them for watermarks
I have just seen your image and I realize that we are not talking about the same software. I'm on SolidWorks Electrical 2D and not on Solidworks 3D. The functions you are talking about are not in my software. As a result, I can't use your answers, which seem very good to me, but for the 3D version.
On the other hand, if you know how to do the same thing on Electrical 2D, I'm all for it.
On the other hand, several of you speak of "MEP". Can you tell me what it is?
Hello
These are the Mise En Plan.
Yes, I know. These are the drawings of the 3D version. On Solidworks Electrical, there is no drawing, since it is already in 2D.
Ok but you still need to have background maps even if 2D. For A4 or A3 etc..
The backgrounds are the cartridges
Hello
I don't have SolidWorks Electrical 2D, but you don't have a pane on the right side of your screen with icons one of which is custom properties?
And in your start menu, you don't have this app?
Otherwise, I think that the solution of making 3 plan models proposed by ac cobra 427 is a good option.
The editor does not work with this tool
Yes absolutely, the background is the whole. Edge, sheet format and cartridge.
