After several searches on the internet I can't find an answer.
I went from Solidworks 2012 SP5 to 2013 SP5. Since then I have the error message "could not load Solidworks DLL: sldshellutils" when opening certain files or during operations like "composition to go".
I found a relationship with Windows update KB3072630. I deleted it a while ago and checked, it didn't install. I also tried to reinstall the Solidworks but it doesn't change anything...
Does anyone have an idea? Thank you for your help.
Hello, I've already had the problem, in fact in "regedit" the software keys are not good. As @AC cobra says: " try a repair of the software" but without conviction that it will work. because it seems to me that my computer must have been formatted because I had several problems...
How did you do your migration: installation of a new version (keeping the old one) or version update? (I don't have the exact terms in mind anymore)
Just a remark about the KB3072630, it needs to be installed. Simply, you have to disable it before the installation operations and then reactivate it. There are 2 files on the SW site to launch (see PJ)
Question that comes to mind, did you disable the antivirus to do the update? because it may be that otherwise it is blocked some files that it considered "potentially dangerous"!
And deleted all SW files... Show a search in the explore on C and if there are still any; delete them and there again a Ccleaner and then reinstall it.
