I just did the SW 2023 SP3.0 update and if I'm not mistaken, in previous versions when I clicked on a part in an assembly it was highlighted in the tree, something I can no longer do. It was very convenient.
Is it a setting that has blown up or has it disappeared? Do any of you know what I'm talking about and know how to solve this problem?
Look in the system options tool and then in display there should be an option like Dynamic highlighting of the graphic area, it seems to me that this is what you are asking.
You select your part in the feature manager and want a highlight in the graphic area. Is that right? See if an option (new it's slipped into the same menu but in the feature mangager folder
No, it's the other way around, I select it in the graphic area (on any face for example) and it should be highlighted in the tree (by expanding the assemblies and subassemblies if necessary). Indeed, these seem to match.
But it doesn't work if it's subassembly. For example, here by selecting the highlighted part that is in the circled subassembly, nothing happens. The assembly is not highlighted nor the part.
It is indeed the option "Scroll down the selected object in the view in the featureManager menu. The behavior in SW2020 is functional, same behavior as you if not checked and if you check the tree unfolds to the selected part. All you have to do is report this bug for the improvement in SP5 (unless SP4 has already) fixed this bug)
