Goodbye (Sniff)

Dear colleagues, dear friends,

I come to inform you hereby that I am leaving the forum for good.

I have indeed been more than struck by the age limit of 76 since the end of December, and you have to hand over (and even both hands).
It's a subtle form of planned obsolescence and in addition it is mandatory for me to go to rehab by no longer reading technical journals, forum visits that give ideas and desires to act.

Besides, in the rehab I am no longer allowed to use the letters S, W, C, A, O, which can bring me back to the memories of a passion.
I put a mouse swatter on the 3D mouse so I couldn't touch it anymore.

The hardest thing will be to no longer be constantly amazed by your knowledge and everything related to _ _ (here the two letters that I am no longer allowed to use).

You are without knowing it the best anti-depressant in France because you just have to come back to the forum after the news to find a smile and a good mood.
In a way, you are the best banana provocateurs

yes I know! I'm going to get over it... That's why I'm going to write a book on "the hetic in Knock" or the "Swiss cuckoo" ethics that makes him Ethics Knock, Ethics Knock.
The idea is to shed light on the use of this word in companies and institutions and thus to highlight that it is not always the ethics that we believe.

That's it! They're going to say zozo has farted a ball :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Good! I leave you because I feel this insidious little tear coming up at the corners of my eyes, which betrays your feelings. Fortunately with the keyboard it doesn't make stains on the paper

I will miss you.

Stone

PS: this is a nice mark of ingratitude on my part, I just forgot to thank you once again for everything you have given me.

 It's clever I have my eyes running now, you're exaggerating

Hello Zozo_mp,

First of all, my best wishes for the rest of your adventure, which I learned with regret that you are leaving the site. In order to set off towards new horizons... For my part, it will take me at least another ten years, to sail towards other horizons as well.

And of course those, I tell you @+ or Aplush!! AND ENJOY!!
AR.

@Zozo_mp that's what young people are all about, barely 76 years old, who want to stop working
It's a great pleasure to have met you at the mycad in Lyon, to have exchanged on the forum.
You are leaving for new adventures so I wish you a good journey and above all enjoy it to the fullest.
Don't hesitate to say hello to us from time to time, you have your place at the Jedi Temple.
May the force be with you

Greetings to you Comrade @Zozo_mp , it was a great pleasure to have known you on this forum for the last 15 years, of which you have laid a stone, then another... What do I say, a whole wall that will fail us.
I have always admired your knowledge, which was passed on with great pleasure to the community.
Good "sailing" to new horizons, and looking forward to seeing you again on the fofo if you miss it.

Good luck to you, I appreciated your tips and tricks
Before writing a book, you could concoct a compilation of your best interventions. Ok it's not very good for rehab, I agree
Good luck for this new start (5 more years for me)

Farewell friend, we loved you very much;

It seems that even the most beautiful things come to an end, apparently it's true since you're leaving... Sniff!
But above all Thank you:

  • Thank you for your active participation in this community, which is losing one of its pillars.
  • Thank you for your humor. (Even if some of them certainly didn't always hit the nail on the head on the youngest of your readers...)
  • and above all Thank you for simply being "you" (or rather the digital alter-ego of "Pierre").

Know that, if you ever "crack" during your "digital-modelis" detox, we will always be there to support you. (Except for the Swiss Cuckoo Clocks... the Helvetic Temporal ethics is a mystery to me...) … and OCD!

And to paraphrase no, little idiot of a little nephew:
"Come on grandpa, you've done your time, it's time to retire."

… Sniff! :sob:

Stay happy.

Kind regards.

Are you sure that a breakup as sudden (for us) as brutal is reasonable.
I think that a gradual quit would be more beneficial. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thank you for your contributions, I had a lot of fun trying to understand your interventions on simulation issues.

Enjoy the time ahead.
I have kept your contact details and do not despair of coming to see you during a visit to your lands which are not so far away.

Hello @Zozo_mp, Pierre,

It is with great emotion that I read your message! It's a beautiful end to this beautiful career that you have led, both on the forum and in your professional life!

Your strong experience and culture have enriched those of others time and time again, and your legendary good humor has allowed even those new to SOLIDWORKS to work miracles :facepunch:

I join your colleagues in the community in saying that you have really been a great support and help to all SOLIDWORKS users and that everyone has grown from your tips today! You welcomed each new member of the forum with open arms, and happily helped each of them.

All your messages began with "happy to welcome you on the forum" which has always said a lot about your humanity and kindness. Your passion for your job has impressed many, including me!

You answered more than 3400 questions :open_mouth: and brought twice as many smiles on this forum :grinning:

So THANK YOU for your commitment!

We will miss you very much! I also thank you personally for all the tips and tricks you gave me to improve this community and the many expressions you taught me that made me laugh!

Small selection of my favorites:

  • "Paying tribute to the demerdologists"
  • "It's going to be turbulent"
  • "Reinstate the redacted text"
  • "I think that before you want to do triple backward jumps in SW followed by a Tail grab followed by a back flip, you need to better understand how SW simulation works."
  • "Maybe you don't have the right knife or the forum is vegan"
  • Not to mention: "Our strong colleagues will help you" and so on...

Thank you for your help, your commitment, your solidarity, and for your eternal passion for cinematics

I found an interview from 2022 where you said about the forum:

"Some people don't realize it, but it's wonderful what intelligence there is, it's a kind of collective intelligence. There are people who go to the museum, and are amazed by art, sculptures, and when I see the work of my colleagues I am amazed as if I were in front of a Leonardo da Vinci! On a daily basis, the intelligence of these people is extraordinary; The users are strong, they are nice, I have never met someone who told me "no I won't help you"

This has always marked me and confirmed that the world of engineering is a big family to which you have contributed enormously.

I'm delighted that you're taking a well-deserved vacation after all these years of hard work: no more searching for suppliers that took your head so much!! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I don't hide the fact that the tear in your eye is not far away! In our eyes, you will remain the top contributor of this forum for a long time to come :muscle:

@lacommunauté : What if we created the Zozo medal for the top contributors of the forum?

And of course don't hesitate to visit us if you feel like it, [in spy zozo_mp mode]

A little souvenir for the end of one of the great victories you won in 2018:

In any case, congratulations and 100,000 thanks for this beautiful adventure that you have offered to the members of the community

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Coralie

@Zozo_mp ,

I wanted to wait a little bit to see if it was a little joke at the beginning of the year but now I realize that it's not the case :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:.
I wish you all the happiness in the world for this new chapter of your life which will soon begin and I hope that you will stop by from time to time to say hello.

Good luck and thank you for everything
